After a 25-year career in the nonprofit and professional services industries, a long-standing passion for interiors led her to transition into design full-time. As founder of Jennifer Maurer Design, she now serves clients throughout the Chicagoland and Milwaukee areas.

In 2024, Jennifer joined the eDesign team of an international color expert, where she specifies paint colors and hard finishes such as tile, countertops, and flooring for homes across North America. Her experience spans every room of the home and more than 140 projects, with a particular focus on creating cohesive, elevated spaces through thoughtful color and material choices. 

Her love of design began while decorating her first post-graduate apartment and grew as she created homes for her family. Over time, she deepened her skills through coursework and hands-on experience helping friends and family with their projects. Today, her expertise lies in color—including neutral undertones and chromatic palettes—and in harmonizing finishes and furnishings to create timeless, livable spaces.

Jennifer believes that every design decision is ultimately a color decision. She enjoys partnering with clients to design homes that feel both beautiful and enduring.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Jennifer lives in Elmhurst, Illinois with her husband and twin sons.
